Amazon DevOps Guru for RDS now offers Proactive Insights, a new set of notifications that alert customers of possible database performance and availability issues before they become severe. By continuously monitoring database instances, Proactive Insights can detect conditions that may lead to a decrease in the health of the database. When such conditions are identified, Proactive Insights will generate a notification that explains the issue and suggests steps that can be taken to address it. As a bonus, Proactive Insights are available to Amazon DevOps Guru customers with no extra setup or configuration required. Currently, Proactive Insights are supported for Aurora PostgreSQL and Aurora MySQL database engines.
